Sure, why not. I'll dive in. But please be gentle, it's my first time.

"Woody Woodpicker" is my first and I jumped in way over my head on this project. All mahogany hollow body (2 1/4" thick) with a set neck. The bridge area is solid front to back and is connected to the neck area with two bars cut away from the front and back if that makes any sense. It's kind of like a Holdsworth Fatboy.

I shocked myself. It's a great player and has a great, full and rich tone. It loves to be played clean but can handle lots-o-gain. Woody has had 90% of my playing time since his birth.

i think that's paint... but i love the design, got my props. Litchfield, it doesn't strike me as being super sexy. I'm not calling it ugly or bad, because it's very good, it's just i don't like it.

I'm too truthful, eh? :D

Ah shucks. :D Thanks folks.

The inlay is wood veneer. That was the only part of the project that I felt confident with.

You're exactly right about the body. It feels a lot sexier than it looks but I'm still not totally excited with it. The next guitar coming up is almost pornograghic in the way it looks and feels. Stay tuned. B)

Hey, what's up with the Ben Mulcher dude?

I love his guitar, but is he like, 'entrancia in absentia' or something?

Does he post anything at all?

What's his formal posting name, I didn't find Ben Muchler in the member's section...

He didn't even come in and reply to the comments we left for him over his entry.

Hmmmmmm...me wonders...I was perhaps gonna vote for his Tele, but I have a hard time puttin' one in for a complete no-show... :D:DB):D

Ben, step up to the mike and say a few words to the crowd will ya? :D

Here are the new pics of my cloth covered Stratocopy. The cloth has embedded metal in it, causing the flash to pick up as dots. Sorry for the large pics. Just trying to show detail of the cloth. The body is mahogany, with a maple on rosewood neck. Series/parallel switch. Top tone pot is wired so tone is available in the neck pickup.

Sorry folks but I seriously doubt that "next" will be done by next month. I've been working pretty slow lately. I'll try and get my butt moving on it, I know the guy I'm building it for would like it if I got in gear. :D

Yup, the back is old growth redwood with a nice lazy flame. Virtually all of my final shaping is done with sandpaper on a soft block or even my fingers. I have a great love of shapes and curves, the final shaping is by far my favorite part of building. I have a feeling that will become a regular back carve in the future.

I'd show you the koa front but I don't want to highjack this thread any more than I have. B)

Thanks for the ego boost folks. :D
