Crzywhiteboy Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 whats wrong with it.Why everyone say it sucks? Quote
Scott Rosenberger Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 It's a low cost Mahogany Alternative. It doesn't have as good of tonal properties as "real" Mahogany Quote
westhemann Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 it is really muddy and undefined Quote
Roli Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Agathis isn't even hardwood, it's a kind of tropical pine. Even though if you make a search in Google, you'll see it's the most commonly used material for japanese Go boards. Quote
john Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 as far as i know, a lot of chinese squires use agathis. Quote
GuitarMaestro Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 I have B.C. Rich guitar made from Agathis! It only costed about $250, so it is not the highest quality guitar. I think its quite good though. Surely Agathis is not the best tonewood but it surely is not terrible. Quote
Roli Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 That's okay, it's not a hollowbody or acoustic, with good electronics and tuners, it still rocks. Quote
