jer7440 Posted June 25, 2008 Report Share Posted June 25, 2008 I am planning to finish the neck of my latest guitar with tru-oil, and the body with nitro. I was wondering how I should mask the part of the neck that will be glued into the body. Can I just use regular blue masking tape? Will the oil seep under it and mess up my glue joint? Xanthus Posted June 26, 2008 Report Share Posted June 26, 2008 I have used the blue masking tape, but I've had better results with pinstriping tape for the edge, and masking tape over it for more protection.
