dguitar Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 Hey guys, I've been working on my strat (sanding off layers of thick poly and such), and as a result it now looks older and grittier than before . I like it quite a bit more now, but the super shiny chrome bridge looks really out of place. Do you guys know if there are strat bridges that are really just natural brass? Its the 6 hole vintage type. Ryan Quote
kpcrash Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 (edited) Let me know if you can't find one anywhere else, in the meantime, why not just wear down the chrome a bit with some 0000 steel wool? http://cgi.ebay.com/1980-Fender-USA-THE-ST...1QQcmdZViewItem Edited July 12, 2008 by kpcrash Quote
dguitar Posted July 12, 2008 Author Report Posted July 12, 2008 Oh, I can't believe actually didnt think about steel wool! lol The aged look will go well with the old brass gears I'm planning on swapping for the knobs. Thanks Quote
