jaycee Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 I am contemplating doing some inlay work, which will take the inlays fairly close to the fretboard edge. To get a piece of MOP or something like it at 1-1.5 mm thick will be quite expensive, at the amount I want plus to cover for mistakes. What alternatives have you used, I am mainly concerned with the hardness of the material not wearing out with use. Quote
foil1more Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 I used a liquid inlay for my bass headstock. It's pretty much a colored epoxy. http://www.grizzlyindustrial.com/products/...=liquid%20inlay Quote
fryovanni Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 How many ounces do you really think your going to use? White MOP is pretty cheap, of course if your covering the entire fretboard with solid shell it would add up. The white MOP I have recieved from MOP supllies has been pretty nice-link Mixed $8.70 oz. and Large closer to $11 oz. Rich Quote
