DarkAvenger
I have a 24.75" scale LP style neck that I'm fitting onto a custom guitar body and I need to figure out where to route the humbucker cavities. I've been searching for quite some time and still haven't come up with much. I know the scale is 24.75" with 22 frets, and I know how/where to install the bridge, and I have the humbucker routing templates ready. Im just not sure exactly where to route the holes for the pickups. For two Seymour Duncans, how should I measure distances to route the cavities? killemall8
there really isnt a specific place. usually the neck pickup is right against the end of the fretboard, and the bridge, about half an inch away from the bridge. DarkAvenger
Oh alright, is there any difference between say 1/2" and 1" on the bridge? How would it sound different?
killemall8
probably less crunch on while palm muting ont gain channel, as well as probably less gain. clean im sure it would sound better though.
