sbskates
on the carvin factory dvd i have i see that they fret the fingerboard and final shape it then apply it to the neck. i was wondering who out there has done this before? seems a better way to do it becuase if you have some problem with the fingerboard it isnt glued to the neck already. Geo
I'd be worried about the FB backbowing. Also, I think clamping it would be difficult. Obviously, though, there are many ways to assemble and shape a neck.

WezV
not the way i do it... but its not uncommon and works just fine
Bmth Builder
erik on here does it that way Personally I dont like the idea, because if you do get a back bow then glueing it into the correct position is going to be harder.
