jaycee
I finally got some motivation to get on with this, and fitted the Rosette over the weekend The inlay is two .6mm pices of Maple burr glued together. I am debating whether or not to put some MOP dots at various points around the Maple, or if it needs something extra.
Inisheer
Looks good, congrats! If you want to change it, that is up to you. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by putting MOP dots around it, but it might be cool. I personally think it would look good with a thin darker accent around the inner and outer edges to make it contrast with the top more (either purfling or a darker wood). Looks good how it is now though too, and once you put some finish on there it will look even better.
Keegan
Some kind of darker wood or something would look nice to border it. It looks great already though.
jaycee
Cheers guys , I did put some varnish on the middle piece after I finished sand ing the rosette/top and the Burr really popped out, I was suprised by the difference it made , so at the moment I am edging toward leaving it as it is Edited December 4, 2008 by jaycee
