Ashaloo Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 I recently got a cheap guitar from a friend as a gift for my dad to learn on. When I picked it up off of the stand, some of the white paint on it had stuck to the rubber covering on the stand. Underneath the cheap white paint is a beautiful cherry red finish that I'd like to reveal. The white paint feels like a rubbery, sticky cheap type of paint. Does anyone know a way I can remove the white paint without damaging the shiny red finish underneath? Thanks! Quote
godzilla Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 If the finish under the white seems pretty firm, maybe try some masking tape to see if you can pull it off. If the paint is pliable this might work. Try a smallish area first. Good luck. Steve Quote
