angussg Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I have applied minwax poly and was wondering about the process of getting it smooth and polished. If anyone has any results from this product that will also help too. Quote

angussg Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 Well i have wet sanded with 400 and absolutely cannot get the shiny spots gone. The grain gets smooth first and in between doesn't seem to get touched by the paper. Quote

I sanded through with that stuff....I would use 3M 600 with mineral spirits till you got them out then another 5 or 8 coats let it set for a month to 6 weeks then start with the 600 again. Good luck.
