ToddW
I did and I think that was the only time Stewmac was less $ than ebay!
NotYou
Yep, just get the ferrules from Stew-Mac. How is that cover plate held on?
Rick500
Neodymium magnets. Thanks for noticing.
NotYou
Neodymium magnets. Thanks for noticing. I was thinking about using magnets for that, but I was unsure how they'd react to the pickups. I got thinking about it when I saw a guitar made for Ted Nugent that had a magnetic quick release cover with a pistol underneath. I don't want to do the pistol thing... I think... but I like the flush look.
mayhem
Neodymium magnets. Thanks for noticing. Stoopid question: How do you remove the plate when you need in, without scratching the finish with a pocket knife or screwdriver, or something? That is a mighty fine way to put on a plate, btw. Rick500
There's enough room near the top right of the cover as seen on that pic, to stick a guitar pick in there and pop it open.
westhemann
I took a AA battery wrapped in sandpaper and made a finger slot on mine.
Rick500
Ooh, very cool! (Love that finish too.)
mayhem
I took a AA battery wrapped in sandpaper and made a finger slot on mine. Very nice! I like that idea a whole bunch, it is real classy and functional. Ditto on the finish
