fookgub
Just wondering what you guys are using to remove the fret tangs on SS wire. Do the tang nippers that Stewmac sells hold up? Is the LMI jig worthwhile (It seems like a lot of cash to plunk down)? Any other options?
hooglebug
the first time i used the stewmac nippers was on stainless wire and it was the last time i used it too. i dont know if i was unlucky or not but the wire made a big dent in them and made them unuseable. i just file them off. time consuming but o well

Ilikes2shred
I made my own version of the LMI jig, and it works great. You shouldn't have too much trouble making one if you choose to.
