tommo
Well, ive got a squire p bass, and i want to go for a more vintage look. Ive found some creme coloured pickup covers for it, but i dont know how to the the old covers off. Or does anyone know of another way to make them go from black to creme and look authentic? SwedishLuthier
If it is a P-bass pickup following the original design you just have to remove the strings, unscrew the pickup screws, slide the covers right of the pickup and replace them with your new covers. If they are cast in epoxy or something else, just forget about the whole thing. It is near impossible to remove cast covers without destroying the pickup.
