GuitarMaestro Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio released some of there most famous PU's as 7-string versions as well. One of my favorite 6-string PU's the DiMarzio ToneZone was released for 7-strings as well. Quote
The Nordic Gawd Posted December 22, 2003 Author Report Posted December 22, 2003 yeah but im not so sure that they are comparable to some lace holy grails Quote
krazyderek Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 holy grails... first thing that comes to mind is the dimarzio paf-7 Quote
Speedy McFeely Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 it might be tough, not a lot of blues guys goin 7 string. now there are a ton of jazz guys who use 7 strings, john pizzarelli comes to mind. maybe do a search on him, then find out who makes his pick ups. just a thought. Quote
The Nordic Gawd Posted December 22, 2003 Author Report Posted December 22, 2003 .........sigh. not having much luck :-( Quote
renablistic Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 Brian has a Bartolini 7 string 'bucker on his site for a whopping 230, bartollini's are suposed to be bluesy/jazzy, right? and he sells the whole dimarzio line of sevens sevens Quote

Reaper Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 What are the spec's on the Holy Grail's? Just curious........ This may help. Quote
GuitarMaestro Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 Hmm....I have to admit that I dont understand you. There is no famous blues-player I know who plays a 7-string. If you are aiming for a typical blues sound why do you want to use a 7-string at all? Playing blues on a 7-string will not sound traditional anway.... Quote
The Nordic Gawd Posted December 23, 2003 Author Report Posted December 23, 2003 never was looking for a traditional blues playing style. i was just looking for blues pickups. Quote
