Lex Luthier
THIS is something I wrote up on another forum when someone asked, and then I copied it onto my website because I thought it to be fairly good info on the procedure on installing a nut. jbkim
THIS is something I wrote up on another forum when someone asked, and then I copied it onto my website because I thought it to be fairly good info on the procedure on installing a nut. Do you really use super glue for the nut? I usually just use wood glue (like you also suggest.) I've tried super glue but it is sooo hard to replace the nut with it. Well, getting the old nut off it not that bad, it's cleaning off all the old super glue that's a PITA .
Lex Luthier
I have used super glue, but it's so runny, I prefer just titebond now. The nut needs to be fixed into place, but needs to be easily removeable.

Hmm... confusing terminology? I re-read it. I didn't see anything jargonal. I thought it was written well in very plain English. But, yeah, I guess pictures could help. Bad Moon Guitars
Can Tightbond be used to attach a brass nut or is there something else that should be used? Thanks, Keith
Lex Luthier
I'd use super glue fpr a brass nut.
