Hotrock
Happy New Year my pedigree chums! Over the festive period while I was very very drunk, I made the mistake of agreeing to make an acrylic warlock body for my brother (using all the bits of his p-bass ripoff for pickups, neck etc) Anyway, the headstock is a typical fender type that would just look out of place, so can I chop it off and replace it with a more suitable one? Can't see a problem with this but thought I would ask. Now here's the crux of the problem - can I replace it with an acrylic headstock? (my brother has very little in the way of taste and that's what he wants). I'd say that if the headstock isn't too long it should be possible, but I'd like second opinions before I go chopping around my brothers guitar. Cheers guys. Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
yes, it can be IF you can get the acrylic. Dont know how it is to work with. Use a bout 3 craploads of CA to glue that headstock, assuming I know what Im talking about. As for how the bod and headstock will look....dunno. Interested in seeing it tho. EDIT: Its 4 am, and after I edited it, it still makes no sense.

9of7 X 3of2
I used to work in a sighn shop, and we did a lot of work with lexan and acrylic. The most important thing is to use the correct glue. Otherwise it wont bond, or it will fog, or the glue run off will stain the acrylic. Dont ask me what kind of glue we used, cuz I dont remeber. But when you got the stuff on your skin, it felt extremely cold, and was quite toxic
Snork
yeah also cut a few mms away from your actual size because acrylic MELTS when cutting. also getting a piece thick enough is going to be a major biatch
