abrandnewrapture Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) i'm currently in the process of putting together my first custom build, and ive come across a bit of a conundrum. all i can seem to find are block inlays for guitars, but none specifically cut for basses. as for bass inlays, everyone seems to be on to this "decal" ideology. so my question is, will regular guitar blocks look any different than bass blocks? whats with decals and why are they so popular? and is it going to cause an issue later on if i choose one over the other? thanks for any help, guys. postal Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) Bass blocks are def larger than guitar. Anyone that tells you to use a decal.... take their cheezy decal... and put it on their eye glasses. fender basses with blocks are real inlays. Not real pearl... (plastic from 'masecraft supply') but real inlays. Edited October 21, 2010 by postal Quote

I'd really like to avoid having to cut my own, even for as simple as blocks are. Quote
