Shugs81 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Share Posted January 4, 2011 I've got a schecter she devil which has the duncan design active pickups in it... i did a really dumb thing and took the battery out with it still plugged into the amp... now it's really quiet... have i fooked them up? Active pickups are usually built pretty robust, so it would take something to really mess them up. Taking out the battery with it plugged in is the same as just turning off the power, so I don't see how that would be much of a problem, unless you got some sort of weird back voltage surge, but I highly doubt that. crafty Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 Don't use rechargeable batteries. The voltage is neither high enough initially nor consistent enough to get quality sound.
