verhoevenc Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Hey. Could someone please do me a huge favor? I need some measurements on a tele bridge, modern style 6-saddle. Stewmac gives the following diagram: However, there's a couple things missing that I'm interested in. If someone could give me the following measurements that would be great! 1) Distance from front (towards neck) of bridge to furthest forward a saddle's string contact point can go. 2) Distance from front (towards neck) of bridge to furthest back a saddle's string contact point can go. 3) Distance from front (towards neck) of bridge to center of string thru-holes. From the looks of the stewmac picture is is a CAD drawing export that I could find these things out from. However, that's an assumption I'd prefer not to make when I'm designing to possibly have some templates CNC'd. Thanks, Chris Quote
verhoevenc Posted January 24, 2011 Author Report Posted January 24, 2011 Nobody got a tele bridge? Chris Quote
kpcrash Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 None that I have right now are string-through, wouldn't be much help. Quote
Ripthorn Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 I don't have stewmac's but I do have one with the modern saddles that looks similar. If I get out in the shop tonight, I will see if my measurements match the ones above for some key dimensions. If they are close, I will take the measurements and post. Quote
Drak Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Maybe this helps? The high E is moved as far forward as it will go w/o falling off the screw, and the B is moved back as far as it will comfortably go. Quote
verhoevenc Posted January 25, 2011 Author Report Posted January 25, 2011 Drak! You god amongst men! Thanks! Chris Quote
RestorationAD Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Have you had a look at these? http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-home-depot/74504-d-size-tele-body-blueprint-files-here-8.html#post2915834 Quote
verhoevenc Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Posted January 26, 2011 Unless I'm missin' somethin', that link shows only body routes and dimensions. No help with saddle reach and other bridge dimensions? Chris Quote
DC Ross Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Easy... spend the $28 and buy one Quote
verhoevenc Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Posted January 26, 2011 Funny part is. I have one. It just happens to be up in DC at a friend's place where I left it. No point in buying two now when I only need one now is there? Smart ass Chris Quote
