Ripthorn
Nice clean take on the thinline tele. Did you actually cut out the f-holes somehow? That sapele is some great looking stuff. No 'nespresso for this build, huh? Also, how do you like those open tuners? I've been thinking of giving them a shot, but always a little cautious about open tuners. I've only built 8 guitars with a killswitch and now everybody thinks that I only build guitars with a red killswitch LOL That caution about open tuners is a stupid stereotype, I dont know who generated it, but these are by far the best tuning machines in the world, hipshot are simply the best! - period
Kammo1
Patrick really love the guitar but to me I would have put your own headstock design on it JMHO as it then would be your total identity. Beautiful guitar and I can see that the heel section kinda reminds me of Nik Hubers where its really cut back towards the bass side, nice work as always bro

Dont forget my build is only 35mm thick, super thin... Hubers Me lol
oblaty
Very, very nice guitar! How long does it take you to build one of those?

pauliemc
I like my teles a bit more over the top. But this ones prety good (I know its not a telecaster, its tele styled) I assume you are looking for creative criticisim putting a prototype up here ? SO, 01) It needs a belly cut, I know its realy thin but I think it would work well with the heel carve as a visual thing. 02) there is no excuse for a black nut on a maple board with white binding, it realy should be white. 03) the black string retainer should be chrome like the rest of the hardware. 04) Id swap out the white knobs for chrome or nickle. they stand out too much. Apart from that its prety cool.
RestorationAD
I like it Huff. Since this is a prototype you get a pass on little things... cause I know what it is like building a prototype. Consider it a win! Things I would think about tweaking... minimal stuff: Make the binding, pickup rings, switch knobs, knobs all match. I think white works it is different and probably the best way to go. @pauliemc sorry I like the white knobs. Agree with pauliemc the retainer bar needs to be chrome. I don't have a big problem with the black nut... I would have went with a white bone nut. But that is more personal preference. I would like to see this with your headstock on it for production models. Makes it easy to identify from a glance that it is yours I wonder how binding the F-hole would look? Helldunkel
Make the binding, pickup rings, switch knobs, knobs all match. Nope, the entire idea was to play on the various colours from white, beige, light braun etc... Agree with pauliemc the retainer bar needs to be chrome. Now you know why its ot chrome.... I don't have a big problem with the black nut... I would have went with a white bone nut. But that is more personal preference. you will never see a bone nut on a hufschmid, never.... Makes it easy to identify from a glance that it is yours Nope, the entire idea was to build something more traditional (loving all the emails I receive from people who tell me that I must build something more tradiotional with more curves.... also the binding on the f would be overdone IMO but you can try. I assume you are looking for creative criticisim putting a prototype up here ? not at all, I'm simply sharing pictures... It needs a belly cut, I know its realy thin but I think it would work well with the heel carve as a visual thing. I disagree, that would not look nice and also would be pointless on a 35mm thick body...
Helldunkel
there is no excuse for a black nut on a maple board with white binding, it realy should be white. yes there is, I'm using my exlusive material which only comes in braun and black, no compromise... 03) the black string retainer should be chrome like the rest of the hardware. disagree, the new owner wants to put some black felt arround that aera, a chrome retainer would look mightly stupid blent with felt. Indeed I would have put some chrome in the other case... 04) Id swap out the white knobs for chrome or nickle. they stand out too much. I would not Apart from that its prety cool. well thank you..... .... and finally the flame maple rings are installed! I finally received the flame maple pickup mounting rings! Some more Hipshot porn? Some more sapelli porn?
