Ham
So I may be getting a guitar soon and I realize I don't really like tune-o-matic bridges. Here's the guitar. How would I go about replacing the tune-o-matic with a hardtail bridge? Could it be done without too much complications or any kind of routing? verhoevenc
TOM bridges and the kind you'd like to replace it with have VERY different heights. Which affects the angle of the neck, etc. etc. This would NOT be easy, nor would I recommend it. Get a guitar without a TOM if you don't like them. Tim37
i did it once but it was a flat top guitar, on a carved top i would just let it be. btw whats wrong with a tom, i did it because it was a incredibly cheap guitar and it was a really cheap tom. i cant see a reason to swap it out on a ltd.
