ProjectGuitar.com
This is only the second time there has ever been a tie in the Guitar of the Month Contest. Congrat's to Both Bukoffsky and orgmorg
brian d
Well done to both. This was certainly a month that had many who deserved to win. It's a shame it couldn't have been a 3 or 4 way tie.
ae3
...I didn't vote this month A well deserved tie indeed.

Bukoffsky
THANKS to everyone that voted for me, and congrats to fellow winner... I find the fact that both guitars used beech in construction rather interesting.
westhemann
Don't tell John, but this blows a big hole in his "pretty wood wins GOTM" theory
orgmorg
I was biting my tongue on that, Wes. Bukoffsky~ I was musing on that myself. Congrats! Excellent job. Good enough to keep me from deleting my vote at the last minute. Thanks all, it's fun to finally win one of these, even if it is a tie.
brian d
Don't tell John, but this blows a big hole in his "pretty wood wins GOTM" theory All the entries were strong in design and execution - nothing that could really be classed as "pretty wood" (esp. not blue quilt). I say the theory stands.
westhemann
Shad Peters was a "pretty wood" guitar..theory blown open Especially since the two winners were in no way "pretty wood"...they were well built and well executed, and most times that is what wins,as I have always maintained. It is just that a lot of great builders tend to use pretty wood in great guitar, and they win for that. Of course, there have been a handful of wins over the years that were not the most well executed of that month, and sometimes a "pretty wood" guitar did win over a better guitar, but most times this is the rule Quality wins...maybe 90% of the time(percentage pulled straight out of my butt)
Tim37
for orgmorg that was pretty wood. I actualy though he toned it down a little on this build.
Scott French
Congrats, guys! Battle of the beech. I liked a lot of aspects of both instruments but had to go with the Black Beauty as that headstock treatment is awesome.
