demonx
What is a good quality tuner that has small buttons and small case on the back so I can squeeze them close together? I need 4 normal 3 reverse for a build I just revised
Southpa
I like Grover minis
demonx
That's what I always use, I was looking for smaller
dpm99
I think the Gotoh Stealth tuners have replaceable buttons. If you want something smaller than that, you're probably going to have crank up the DeLorean.
Mattia
These? Different look, but small footprint... http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,_solid_peghead_tuners/Steinberger_Gearless_Tuners.html
demonx
Thanks mattia - they're kinda ugly though!
Orbital
How about Sperzel? I have those on my Carvin Fatboy which has a really small headstock.
demonx
Thanks for the replies. I just bought a 4 X 3 set of single Sperzels from Warmoth. Never used Sperzels before but I've heard good things.
sdshirtman
I'm a little late on these but Schaller M-6 Mini's are 13mm wide and the smallest footprint I know of.
RestorationAD
Thanks for the replies. I just bought a 4 X 3 set of single Sperzels from Warmoth. Never used Sperzels before but I've heard good things. I have used a set of the open back sperzels as they have the smallest footprint of the affordable tuners. I needed to cram the tuners on my last V. Regular sperzels are great as well. You will like them as they are lighter than any others (gotoh stealth aside) on the market. demonx
The sperzels weren't any smaller, it was just that I could buy them as singles. Those ones above look like they've got massive keys. When you see my latest build evolve you'll understand why I wanted small. The headstock is tiny and the tuners will "just" squeeze on. You can get different buttons for the ones above but I hear ya.
Orbital
This is what I consider a small headstock: http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR0paLarI9Gw1e8p1aiXNXqFfWIqjuod_A3D27l9xQB-FORhVl015D4ALM0_Q It can even be uncomfortable to tune sometimes. demonx
Mine is probable same size or a little smaller, pointier AND I'm squeezing 7 tuners onto it!
Workingman
Thanks mattia - they're kinda ugly though! And heavy.
