USMCHueston0311 Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 I am building a neck template jig similar to mykas, and I was wondering what the trig formula is to find out how high each end of the blocks need to be in order to achieve the desired neck angle. In other words, how to setup the jig correctly. Quote
verhoevenc Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Read up on "soh cah toa" That said, the back block needs to be higher by 'x' in this equation: tan(neck angle)=x/'distance between the two blocks' Chris Quote
Prostheta Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 You beat me to it. It is as comprehensive an answer as is needed however. Quote
