Board Software Update - May 2012

Hi everyone.

Invision have upgraded the software for the PG board hence it is expected that a few things here and there may not work as they did previously such as post and signature formatting for example. The vast majority of upgrades certainly have modernised the way the board works and incorporates features which many users now come to expect as standard from community forum software.

Of specific note is the new "like" system whereby users can tag posts they umm, "like". Use of this feature is a nice one-click option to demonstrate how the community enjoys or supports certain content and provides direct feedback to posters on how useful their contribution is. Perhaps a more constructive (and quicker) alternative to the ubiquitous "awesome build dude!" posts....?

Perhaps, but I still prefer "awesome build DUDE!" to +1 Like. Words do say much more.

Alternative, not replacement ;-)

Currently looking into an issue with the editor as it is working in "raw" format. Clicking "More Reply Options" or editing existing posts dumps you into HTML land which is difficult to wade through at the best of times. This may make posting operations images or links break, or just make posting them more difficult. Will update.
