gilsolomon
So hi guys, This is my first post here and I was going to post an entire album of my newly built (first-time) guitar. as such I've made a dumb mistake. I was stupid enough to reverse to angle of my tune-o-matic bridge. I wanted to ask you, would the repercussions of this be terrible? will it screw up my entire set-up? Pulling out the bushings will probably screw up the finish and would make me do a clear finish instead of the nice jungle burst... Please advise I'm kinda lost here... Thanks ! westhemann
You have to fix it,no question. The only question is how you do it. I would fill in the wronly placed hole, redrill, and then figure out how to cover it

John Morciglio
2nd the plug and re-drill but,, Some of the roller bridges have fore-aft adj. slots at the height adj. posts. (might be enough to cheat)? Some are locked in with a set screw. Have the budget one from Allparts.Only use it for set-ups. It has a good range. dpm99
If this is your first build and you haven't made a big mistake until now, you are to be congratulated.

Thanks But i've made a ton of mistakes It's just that they were on the neck(s) I've managed to ruin 5 fingerboard blanks trying to avoid buying the Stewmac miterbox. I eventually had to :\. Oh, by the way, thanks guys! I've stripped the guitar and took off the wiring (time to redrill and refinish)... JM Agreed, I'd see if one of these has enough play to get away with it: If not I'd get a wider bridge like one of these or an old Gibson harmonica & hope it covers most of the filled hole:
