MP63
Building a one-off solid body. Trying to figure out the pros and cons of the jack-plate location. Thinking about the face, but that means using an angled cord. The edge is fine, but standing it up is a pain and hitting it against furniture is a pain. Anybody got some creative ideas where they placed theirs? Thanks, Mike

SwedishLuthier
If you place it on the rim/edge it is a good idea to make sure that the contact (or cable) doesn't hit the floor if you place the guitar leaning towards the wall or the amp (something we never do, we always place in securely in a stand, or...) guitar2005
I like the Ibanez Jem style input. A couple of years agos, I did something similar on an Explorer project: http://www.lydian.ca/Portfolio/Pages/Evil_Twin_1_Explorer_2.html#
