govtmule
I didn't fill the inside of the loops on the "d" or the "p" thinking that the CA glue would fill the gap. That worked fine but when I poke that area with an exacto blade it feels a bit soft. I covered the entire inlay 3 times about 12 hours apart with med CA glue. Should I drill out those areas and re-fill with CA and rosewood dust ?
sdshirtman
If you can remove the glue centers I'd think about making little plugs for the insides of the D and P out of some pieces of the fretboard if you have any scraps. I would think that would look a little nicer than filling them with dust.
ScottR
I have seen medium CA skin over and take weeks to cure alll the way through. It will eventually......based on half emptied bottles that sat on the shelf 6 months and turned out rock hard when I needed them next. I like John's idea, if you give up on the full cure. ScottR
CA accelerator works wonders, will give you a stiffy in a jiffy! The only problem I have had with accelerator in this type of application is it tends to cause bubbles as it reacts....which would tend to spoil the look he has going here. Have you come across a method that avoids that? SR
