3 bass projects in work

Well, that's it. Most people like to theorise and act like it means something more than theory. Until you have empirical evidence to substantiate a theory, it is just speculation.

I won't comment on the acoustic nature of glue joints since that's not where my experience lays. Simply, for any indoor use that isn't going to get damp then Titebond-I is most ideal.

@boroducci - Should we be worried about those two dots since they're something to do with world domination? I'm a little concerned, but also wondering how they will help you.

My best guess would be the darker blue is applied over the lighter blue with a sponge, wad of paper, or stiff bristle brush in a dry brush technique. That would be knocking the bulk of the paint off the sponge, et al and pressing it to the lighter blue area leaving the pattern and voids.

Now, I'd love to know how far off base that is.:P

You are so close, ScottR. Basic color - light blue. We use a crumpled paper towels with black color. Each towel make an individual pattern. So, in result we have awesome "preloid" finish. It is so easy and so interesting.
One more guitar we make in similar way.
