Prostheta
Interesting! I've never liked wooden or metal picks, personally. Did it add anything to your playing?
RudysBlues
The common pick's feels to small and have not enough grip for me. There are a few pick's on the market that are bigger, but don't have the right shape for me, so I decided to make my one. The beech Wood will be outworn within a couple months. I think I will try it with ebony in the future.
Prostheta
Always good to try out different materials. If you get chance, see if you can acquire some Lignum Vitae. It's extremely hard wearing, self-lubricating and is often used for wooden plane soles. You'd likely need to etch or carve some kind of grip into it though. DTA
I personally like the brand name "Big Stubby" when I buy picks. There thicker they indenting on each side for your fingers there rather expensive for picks though. I do recall they cost around 10 dollars for 4 of them. If you managed to make some of those picks with that design and they where cheaper, you could probably sell them.
