acoustic back for an electric top?

Hi folks,

I have an acoustic guitar back that I would like to glue to the top of a tele electric guitar blank I made.

Just wondering if this can be done and if so is there any potential problems I should be on the lookout for.

Shouldn't present any unusual problems at all. Use cauls and care during your glue up to protect the thin top.

Thanks Scott,

     That's good to hear.I am considering sanding it off and using tru oil on it as it has some noticeable scratches

and is a little too glossy for me.

Good plan. Odds are it was going to need a refinish anyway after going through the rigors of being glued on as a top.
