Newbie here. Trying to determine the final thickness of my head piece for Grover 102 tuners. I have looked at spec sheet but not sure what dimension to use. I plan to veneer the head piece. Any thoughts on how to determine final thickness to shoot for would be great.

Not have the spec sheet makes this a bit tricky. The threaded shaft of the tuner goes into the hole from the back of the headstock and the barrel passes through a washer from the top of the headstock and threads onto the shaft within the hole. The headstock has to be thick enough to keep the threads from bottoming out without tightening onto the headstock and thin enough to allow the threads to engage. Typically the thickness will be close to 5/8" give or take a few hairs.
