fuzzynumbskull
i got this used Ibanez SA220 Promo Edition, unfortunetly, the input jack is loose and makes this banging sound when the cord gets moved. the input jack is recessed into the guitar body. any ideas on how i would go about fixing it? -amy
jbkim
I don't have an Ibanez SA220 so I'm just describing for a generic recessed jack condition. Do you have a socket set? You can use a socket to tighten it from the front but you'll also need to open the it from the back and hold the jack so it doesn't spin. Edit: Hmm... my suggestion would only work if the mounting nut is on the outside (accessible from the front.) I just realized I have some guitars with jacks that have the nut on the inside. Which type does your Ibanez have? Look here for some pictures. Is it more like this (nut accessible from the outside) or like this (nut accessible from inside?) Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
If it's on the instde, just tighten the nut with a wrench, open eded style
