renablistic
elmers wood glue works good IMO. I mean, ya Titebond is better... but it works...
moojiefulagin
Thanks. So no polyurethane glue?
MKGBass
You can use polyurethane glue but make sure its clamped TIGHT. Because most polyurethanes foam as they cure, which if it is not clamped securely in place, could cause the joint to spread leaving things like seams and nasty glue lines... Brian
Either will work fine. I think you find since the polyurethane glue react's with any moisture found on the wood and foams up which is easily trimmed away it may end up being a bit of a mess for you if the wood isn't completely dry. Either one will give you a good strong joint.

westhemann
the directions on my bottle of gorilla glue say to lightly dampen surfaces before glueing with dense hardwoods...and for other woods only one surface
MKGBass
I know you didn't write the Gorilla Glue label, but perhaps you can determine the point of only dampening one surface? EDIT: I know the glue is based on a chemical reaction, however, it seems that maybe that would cause some uneven(ness).?
westhemann
i don't know the answer to that...
