mad_mackem Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 i know theres loads of stuff on here about neck angles but this is just a quick question the guitar im making needs a 3 degree neck angle because the guitar is a flat top i decided to take the 3 degrees of the butt of the neck. is this the right way to do it?? any responses wud be gr8 thnx n rgds Quote

daveq Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 I don't think there's a right or wrong way but we talked about this recently and the general thought was that it may be more advantageous to do it on the neck pocket instead of the neck itself. One reason for this is the ability to change necks without needing a special-built neck. It may not be an issue for you though so don't sweat it if it works. Quote
