Pedalboy
I am building a neck through solid body guitar w/ 2 humbucker pick ups. I am using SD seth lovers which are really warm and jazzy. I would like to use a body wood that accentuaute the high end. Any suggestions would be appreciated. GuitarMaestro
Every piece of wood is different and there are as many different opinions over one wood as there are species of wood:), but generally maple is considered a bright sounding wood. The downside is that it is quite heavy, so I would recommend to build abody from a lighter wood like alder or swamp ash and use a nice maple top in order to increase brightness. GuitarMaestro
And don't forget that the fretboard and neck wood choice is at least if not even more important for the final sound than the body wood.
