Scooby
I bought a truss rod from alied luthier. It is the one you see here I routed out the channel in my neck and am wondering which way it is suposed to go in? Do leave the rode side up? Or do I leave the metal base side up? also do I need to fill this type of rode in and glue it like you would a regular gibson style truss rod? Thanks
westhemann
metal base goes up right against the fingerboard...no glue

Brian
Some people also place a thin strip of tape over the channel before attaching the fretboard so glue doesn't seep into it and stick to the rod itself.
goth_fiend
you might want to put in a dab of silicon in the channel before you install the rod, just so i doesnt rattle at all
Guitarfrenzy
All of the above is true, also you can put some wax all the way down the truss rod channel after it's in place. Glue doesn't bond to wax!!! Good luck
