Romano Posted February 6, 2004 Report Share Posted February 6, 2004 i had modificated a strato style Guitar changing the bridge single coil with a dimarzio fred and rewired it complete with new pots and swithces. risults: terrific ground effect touching any hardware parts my first idea was a wrong solder but i have resolderd a lot of times but same results pick ups seems to me working well but at this time can't link guitar to overdrive or distortion pls any one with experience can help me to understand? p.s. forgot to say that its original singlecoils have just one conductor with the shield for the gorund Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
feylya Posted February 6, 2004 Report Share Posted February 6, 2004 Make sure your bridge wire is connected to the earth and make sure the input jack earth is connected to. Bring all earth connections to one point (eg on the back of one pot). That way you won't get earth loops which are bad. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
