Is this bad??

Hey so I got this guitar from a family member. But I'm noticing a crack around the neck. Alot of guys say its just a finish cracking due to a mahogany neck and a maple body joint. What do you guys think? It's a 1999 epiphone dot. Mik. Plays very nice with good action, and the bridge is still adjustable.

Hold the body under your arm, press the upper horn while pulling the headstock. Does the crack open or stay steady? If it moves significantly the neck is loose, if not it's just the finish cracking.
