Drak
I love old-school German guitar build characteristics. So I'm a fan of your big block inlays, looks like a very German 'thing' to me.

Doesn't the first sentence already include the answer? The black seems to accent the binding even on the natural side, that's very stylish as such! Drak
When I used to do binding, it was almost always double-bound. And I would almost always (maybe 100% always) black the sides just like that. So your side pics remind me a lot of when I did binding jobs, usually on Teles.. So we've got black sides and binding, and Hofner block inlays, and a somewhat slightly 'hook beak' on the headstock. I'm loving it, haha, keep going! About the black metallic...what is the metallic ingredient if you know? Usually with black, you need another color to 'see' a metallic effect. Silver, gold, green, red, etc. Black paint with black metallic 'flake' usually yields just a rather bumpy black surface.

Tried the blue metallic nitro spray and it is see-through... might use that maybe in a sunburst fashion. I sanded it off but I might give it another go... Not very bumpy actually, there will be of course clear nitro over this , so it will look more three-dimensional I hope.

argytar
Not much of free time for me this summer. I am letting the nitro dry. Meanwhile I levelled the frets and installed the zero fret. Made the waterslide decal. Designed the oval paper label.
