t1r12003
Clear epoxy for the rest. I wanted to get some black in there for the larger spots. The back has more which I will show tomorrow after this cures on top

t1r12003
I may change to this mahogany neck blank I have. It’s around 30 years old, part of a large lot of necks and bodies I bought last year. Rings like a bell when I tap tone it. Large headstock blank so I can cut the shape I want
t1r12003
Playing around with a reverse headstock shape
Bizman62
The idea is solid but to be honest I'd like to suggest you to play around the shape a bit more. The "beak" is a bit too protruding for my taste. I mean like this:
t1r12003
Yeah agree. Totally a rough drawing and needs refined

Asking for opinions and waiting for them before making your final decision, that's what I'd call a good choice whenever in doubt.

t1r12003
Got a decent arm contour but as you see have a lot more work on sanding and filling voids Edited July 11, 2021 by t1r12003
t1r12003
Super glue on top for some more cracks. Once I get all visible cracks and voids filled, I’ll finish sand then seal the entire body with super glue and epoxy
t1r12003
Not a lot of progress due to work and home projects but I did a little more crack filling and got another glamour shot wet down
Bizman62
You've managed to build your puzzle pretty nicely without having to fill too many gaps with something else than wood. It also looks like most of the no-wood spots will be hidden or cut off. Looks like a parquet maker went nuts! A floor like that would drive me nuts... But on a small piece like a guitar it's simply stunning!
Muzz
Crazy cool, looking forward to seeing the hardware go on
t1r12003
Speaking of hardware, I was looking at some solid nickel humbucker covers like this one in gold or black chrome with matching hardware
t1r12003
Little more work done. Finished belly carve and started rounding the edges.

t1r12003
Scored this chrome Gotoh bridge for $30. Open box never used. Couldn’t pass up a deal.
t1r12003
I think I’m going solid chrome nickel covers for the pickups like I did on this project from a while back. Clean and classy and nicely accents the figure of the body.
t1r12003
More sanding and crack filling. Here’s one with super glue and wood dust from sanding
