Jfudge01
Hi everyone, first time builder here. Ive been looking at some es 335 kits online as I’m looking to create one, but I don’t want to build the body. I’m mostly looking to paint, add inlays, and put the guitar together. I know parts are important, so I’m going to go with Tv Jones classic tv pickup in back, with Seymour Duncan jazz in front, bigsby gold tremolo bar/bridge and high quality tuners/ hardware. The thing I’m unsure of is who to buy the body/ neck from. Anyone have a kit maker in mind? If not, what would be the best wood or biggest thing to look out for when buying a kit? many tips appreciated. I’m sure people will tell me this is a tough guitar for a first build, that may be.. I have a lot of skills I feel are applicable to doing this build. I can solder/weld, I’ve painted cars, created custom paintball gun bodies, I’m an engineer by trade.. etc. aannnnd I watched a YouTube video so I must be an expert . thanks for the advice!
