Thinking about building my own Dean ML body. I've looked around for plans but haven't found much besides its a mix between a Z shape and a V shape body. Any Dimensions like Width at the tips of the V, Length, or width at the narrowest part of the body, ETC. Any Plans, Dimensions or Blueprints for either a Dean or a Washburn ML would be great. Thanks

was going to show you that if you use fret2dfind and create a 24.75 scale fretboard with a 1 11/16 width nut then take a fairly straight on photo of an ml and scale it up in photoshop you can grab any measurements you like... but at it turns out there is one here:

Hi and welcome!

You must have done all the searching so I won't. If you haven't found any, the information available is scarce.

There's tricks, though! Dean tells some measurements on their site like scale length (625mm) and nut width (43mm). And there's plenty of front face pictures. Simply compare the known measurements to those you don't know. Even better, if you know where to print a real size picture of the guitar, you can glue the picture on a piece of mdf and cut a template out of it.

it would help me a lot to open it

For me there was no problems to download and open it. It's big so it took 40 seconds to download and 10 seconds to open with my Internet connection and PC.

it looked odd when I opened it in Illustrator.

Looked odd in my browser as well, I thought the sketchy looks was intentional.
