neck angle

Can someone tell how can I angle the neck slightly forward, if I put a piece of wood veneer, and sand it on one end, to create the angled neck pocket, will that work, I have some 1.5 mm veneer

You can either do that or just trim and fold a piece of business card and put it in the back of the pocket on a bolt on guitar. It's called a neck shim

I have cut the venner to shape, and will glue it on the neck , I have tried the card method, but i get a little gap , i'd rather see that sheet of mohogany :-)

BTW: if I want to refill some graphite nut string slots, will superglue last a while, with the friction on the strings ?

I don't know if I would trust it to hold to the graphite, thats a pretty slippery surface to hold on to.

Yeah that was I was afraid of, anyway I am giving it a try , I put the superglue 2 days ago, and this morning I resaw the slots, up to tonight its working....:-) let's see how long it will last.

Lessen I have learned: Take it easy with those thin fret saws on the nuts!
