Niel Posted Saturday at 05:10 AM Report Posted Saturday at 05:10 AM Can a Easyvibe such as the Moen Shakey Jimi be counted as a univibe or form or sort of univibe? Quote
henrim Posted Saturday at 12:15 PM Report Posted Saturday at 12:15 PM They both aim to do the same thing. They do it differently so they may not sound exactly like. Classic univibe uses Vactrols (or I think it used lamps and LDR’s back in the day) while the more recent variants use op-amps. Vactrols are not exactly precision components so there is more variety between the samples and all in all sound characteristics are different. With modern digital technology I would think it is possible to make an accurate replica. And I bet there are Unvibe plugins. 1 Quote
Niel Posted 38 minutes ago Author Report Posted 38 minutes ago The world of UniVibe is really confusing with all these variants of it for sure, i think its a very hard effect to get right as it was created by accident and not by plan. Could you help me out with my NS2 @henrim ? Quote
