commidaddy
What shop tools would I need to be able to start a shop to work on guitars? I mean as basic as possible, the very bare essentials/necessities. I want to build a guitar from scratch.

Guitarfrenzy
It really depends on if your planning to also do alot of fretwork. I know as far as myself is concerned I've spent alot on fretting tools and still need some more. But you can get by with minimal tools. Here is a good list from LMI listing basic tools. Lex Luthier
and how much would those cost to get? Go check out a home building type store like Lowe's, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, etc.
