sjaguar13
I want to relic a guitar, but bare wood will be exposed. Do I do anything to protect it, or is that the whole point of the relic? I was planning to take off a lot of paint.
butnut
'Real' relic'd guitars had the lacquer rub or flake/chip off to expose the bare wood, so that is what you want to achieve. I have lots of fun doing it and I take my time about it...each chip or wear shold look as close to happening naturally as possible..lot of pics on the net to kinda guide you. Have fun. sjaguar13
I like the guitars like Rory's that have pretty much all the paint taken off. I just wanted to be sure that the wood would be okay.
