Locking Nut Question

Recommended Posts

Actually I have a couple lock nut necks that are on hardtail guitars and I just leave the locking pads off, but I don't like it. I wish they had regular nuts. Someone said Allparts has a bolt on nut with Ebonol on top for the nut material. So you can have a direct replacement nut that's not locking.

Thanks guys, that's sort of what I figured. Brian does have the nut you mentioned as well as the Schaller tailpiece. I e-mailed him to see if the nut will replace the Schaller (it says it's for a FR), but I'm leaning towards just getting the tailpiece. Anybody had any experience with them?

Schaeller makes stop tailpiece bridges with fine tuners they have a one piece and 2 piece deisgn(les Paul). I used the one piece design in conjunction with a locknut on a cheap Warlock. All went well and stays in tune till the next string change.
