jonnylane Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 Hi all, What are the options when it comes to applying a decal to a headstock? I dont want to inlay, just put a printed design on. Are there printer paper kits available or something like that? Cheers, Jonathan Quote
Hotrock Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 Have a look in the tutorial section, I'm sure there's a tutorial about making decals. Alternatively, drop decalshopmike a line if you want a professional job. His website is: http://www.thedecalshop.co.uk/ Good luck dude Quote
weezerboy Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 i know someone who had good results from letraset (sp?) sheets just rub the back with something blunt and then clear over Quote
Devon Headen Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 would that be like a temporary tattoo sheet? I've thought about those before, but never tried it. Quote
weezerboy Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 no - its a stationary thing...its used on files etc to mark writing can;t really give a definition, or a correct spelling, or a supplier for that matter try stationers, WHSmith in the uk sells them Quote
renablistic Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 why not just stick the headstock into your printer and print it on direct? LOL, j/k Quote
Librero Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 i know someone who had good results from letraset (sp?) sheets also called vinyl letter transfer sets. they ought to be available in most office supply stores. i use them. just don't spray the first clear coats too thick. the letters might float. that happened to me too. decalshopmike Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 You can download our fitting and refinishing guide at www.thedecalshop.co.uk/Decal.doc - this shoudl explain it all in more detail. Should work OK with Letraset as well so long as you seal it in with a couple of light coats first as per the guide. Mike Quote
