newbiejon Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 Ok i know i sound like a complete newb but what do these do? Are they a tuning aid or do they electronically alter the pitch of you guitar?!?!? Quote
feylya Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 Eh, they're for tuning your guitar. Play a note until the right light lights up basically. And this should probably be in players' corner too Quote
asm Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 its just a regular tuner, but can be used in the place of any pedal board setup, so its nice and compact and looks just like a distortion pedal, and you just turn it on or off like you would any other pedal. Quote
weezerboy Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 when i first started playing i was convinced that you strap the tuner onto the guitar and it tunes it for you :x Quote
Devon Headen Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 That'd be nice . The always-in-tune guitar...no tuning necessary. Quote
Simo Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 'Chromatic' tuners can tune any note, unlike a regular tuner which will only reconise E A D G B E, so they're good for weird tunings etc Quote
Morben Guitars Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 That'd be nice . The always-in-tune guitar...no tuning necessary. http://www.selftuning.com/index2.htm I use the Boss Chromatic tuner, it's best feature is that you can kill the output to the amp by pressing the pedal, therefore tune up in silent when on stage. No more tuning over each other or having the crowd hear that annoying downtime between songs. They can also act as a good kill switch during a song. They are really the best way to tune and adjust the intonation as well. Quote
